Read Kerry's Testimony... During
my son’s second year at West Point in April 1983, he was hospitalized
for several weeks as a result of a severe wrestling injury.
Just
before noon on Good Friday, the daily visit of the West Point
Chaplain was a welcome relief. He reminded him of Christ’s
pain and suffering, and of His ultimate gift to us. The Chaplain
left, and he was alone again. He reached for his drawing pad
and pencils. He began to draw.
Four
hours of intense effort slipped by in a moment. He felt his
heart open, when suddenly he was staring into the eyes of
Jesus Christ – eyes which he had drawn with his pencil, and
which now drew him into their power of His love. It was as
if He himself had guided his hand and allowed him to see with
his own eyes, and feel with his heart, the true significance
of His sacrifice.
Mark’s
experience that day changed his life. We both pray that others
will be blessed by His image, which Mark has been blessed
by creating, and which I am privileged to distribute.
